And yes, dear Lisa-Jo.
You were the ones who always threw the absolute best online parties. You flung your doors open wide and generously invited us baby bloggers to share our little bits of awkward writings. Our semi-creative projects. Our newly discovered words. And our overflowing hearts.
Without your link-up gatherings, most of us wouldn't have cobbled together the sweet online communities that we now call home. We would never have met kindred spirits from far-off places, those we now claim as dear friends.
So this is my thank you. To each and every companion who left the loveliest trail of encouraging words with her visits. To those generous souls who told me I was a writer over and over til I finally believed that maybe it could be true. And to you, the faithful ones who gave me permission to explore and celebrate this once upon a time unknown territory that now gives me great joy and a satisfaction that still surprises.
My heart is still overflowing. I'm forever grateful.

Amen! I'm fairly new to Five Minute Friday, but I've linked up to Kristen and Laura in the past. Especially when I was a new blogger and trying to find my place. Some of my closest online friends have come through those blog parties. So yes, I am thankful for those lovely ladies and the grace they extended to us newbies.
ReplyDeleteThose blog parties used to be big bashes ... and I kind of miss those days! But in this season I've been meeting some truly lovely ladies especially at Emily's, Holley's, Lisha's ... and of course, Lisa-Jo's. The circle of relationships just keeps growing and for that I am grateful!
DeleteOkay! I just simply loved this. What sweet words that echo my own heart. Thank you for being one of those encouragers as well!

I'm thankful for our weekly hostesses too. It's been such a great way to make online friendships! So glad to share community with you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteFor sure, Lisa! God is so good to have given us this incredible venue. I guess I never expected to share in this kind of worldwide community. Fascinating ...
DeleteMay the loveliest of weekends be yours, my friend.
Sometimes it is easier to believe someone who doesn't know you over those who do. Our online communities sure are life changing! ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess I can only trust that all the encouragement and joy I receive online will do nothing but add to the person I am and allow me to bring more to the table with my family, near-by friends, my work, my worship.
DeleteWeekend blessings, my friend!
