"So the women hurried away from the tomb,
afraid yet filled with joy,
and ran to tell His disciples.
Suddenly Jesus met them.
'Greetings,' He said.
They came to Him, clasped His feet and worshiped Him.
Then Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid.
Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.'"

Enjoy the hope that HIS resurrection brings!
ReplyDeleteCelebrating Jesus with you, my sabbath sister!
DeleteI don't know that I ever paid any attention to the words "afraid yet filled with joy..." I like that. It speaks to me right where i am. right in the messy middle of scarey change - but with Christ I can move ahead with joy
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, Carol. Right in the middle of change and fear, He remains, our security, rock solid and strong. May you experience that redeeming strength of His today, my friend.
DeleteHe is risen!

DeleteGlorious verse for a glorious day, Linda!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pairing with this photo. Now I see those blooms through the lens of these words, as they courageously lift their heads to be filled with sunshiny joy. Oh, that our hearts would do the same!
And we can... because HE IS RISEN!
Grace and peace,
HBHW

Blessed Sabbath on Easter Sunday, Linda! I especially love how he merely said, "Greetings"!
ReplyDeleteSo unassuming after such a sacrifice! ME---I would have said, "I'M BACK!!!"
May your day be filled with smiles---Sweet Linda!
It'd be neat to know the exact nuance in the original language! 'Greetings' does seem to be a bit of an understatement, but I wonder if He was smiling gently as He uttered those words. For He loves His children so ...
DeleteMay you experience that incredible depth of love as you worship our Savior on this blessed day, Lulu!

And that's my everydayness in this world. Afraid [of certain things]...and filled with joy [through our Lord]. All I can count on forever. And I LOVE the flowers. Thanks for sharing so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteYep. If we're honest with each other, we all struggle with some kind of fear of something. And that's ok, because we are flesh. It's the filling of the Spirit that defines who we are, not our fears. And for that on this sacred day, I am so deeply thankful!
DeleteHope you had a wonderful Easter, Linda. I just love Easter service at church and the message of salvation. Those tulips are gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePraising Him for that salvation on this gentle morning after, Kim ...
