Bob's new insight..........

Yesterday, March 6, great joy was expressed in heaven! It was God's joy that was demonstrated in the presence of the angels. Why? Because one of Linda's counseling clients at Creekside trusted Christ as their personal Savior!

Luke 15:10 ("There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents") summarizes the context of God's expressed delight over the recovery of a sinner who comes into fellowship with Himself through repentance and trusting Christ. I had thought that it was the joy of the angels, but I discovered that this text clearly says that the joy is God's! Much like the woman who found the lost coin (Luke 15:8,9), God expresses His ecstacy over recovered sinners. Heaven can't help but take note of God's delight.

Commenting on Luke 15:10, noted Greek scholar, A. T. Robertson says, "joy arises." This means, "The joy of God Himself arises in the presence of the angels over one sinner who repents."

Can you imagine how God expresses His great delight so that it is seen by the hosts of heaven? Isn't it fabulous that He does not confine that expression to the portals of heaven, but He also shares it with us? We certainly knew His joy yesterday!

Rejoice with us, and please keep praying that God's joy will be multiplied over and over as He brings more people to Christ through the ministries of Creekside.
