'Do not fear, O Zion;
do not let your hands hang limp.
The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.'
~ Zephaniah 3:17 ~
Thank You for these words of hopeful joy, Lord. We take them as a gift from You today. We claim them as our own cherished treasure. Keep singing to us, would You please? And we'll join our feeble voices loud and strong, and sing right back to You with a heartfelt praise that You alone deserve ...
He "quiets us with His love..." How wonderful. Reminds me how "perfect love casts out fear." He doesn't want us to live afraid...He wants us to live loved!
ReplyDeleteQuieted with love tonight,
HBHW
Quieted. There is no better place to be ... spiritually, emotionally, physically. And to live loved? Yes and amen. I hope this has been a Sabbath that's refreshed you, sweet lady!
DeleteHe will quiet you with His love, I love this line. How often I have felt that quietness come to my spirit when I think upon His love for me. Beautiful..
ReplyDeleteAnd this is something that just can't be explained. We can try, but it just has to be experienced. And when He takes you there, then you KNOW without a doubt that words will never paint that glorious picture.
DeleteThanks, Betty, for sharing Sabbath with us here ...
What an absolutely perfect picture for this scripture. Joyous height, wrapped in glorious light against a dark backdrop. I love it. And your prayer.... just thank you, Linda. I pray it with you.
ReplyDeleteJoyous height, glorious light. That's His love, shining bright, even in our darkest places.
DeleteThanks for the picture you've painted with us here, Pat!
HE is SINGING ABOUT ME! I have always loved this scripture. Rejoice as He sings over you today, Dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteHe's singing. That I know for sure, dear Lulu ...
DeleteHe will quiet you with His love. I needed to hear this today Linda, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful for His timing in your life, friend. Peace, peace, He whispers ...
DeleteReally neat way to share the Word and toss in a photo. Made me smile and rejoice. And, being a prophetic-oriented person, this was a heart-grabber. Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteHe sure specializes in those heart-grabbing words, doesn't He, CaryJo! Grateful to share this Sabbath with you, dear servant of God ...
DeleteRejoice over me with singing - I want that to seep inside - that He does that - that I hear it! Blessings to you this week Linda!
ReplyDeleteYes ... seeping deep to the core of who we are. And in the acceptance of who He is and what He does, we are changed!
ReplyDeleteJust had to pause in the glow of these powerful words:
Delete"And in the acceptance of who *He* is and what *He* does, **we** are changed!"
AWESOME!
Bottom line? It's always all about Him!
Delete;)
Hi Linda! I love that image of exchanging songs...me to God and then God to me. What beautiful harmony, it makes me smile! Thank you for a great start to my Monday my friend.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again :)

What a choir we make when all join hearts and voices ... someday!
DeleteAnd welcome back, kind friend ... the sunshine gleams when you walk in the room!
This has been my favorite verse and go-to verse this year. So much comfort is found in those words. Thank you for sharing. Much love. xoxo
ReplyDeleteMay He keep on pouring comfort into your soul, Beth ... with all those sacred gifts that only He can provide.
DeleteHugs.
Oh, how I love Zephaniah 3:17. It's a special verse to me from a friendship that taught me the great joy of worshiping through singing to God and having God sing over us. Thanks for sharing this, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI want to be more attentive and aware of His rejoicing over me with singing, Lisa ... and I'm pretty sure I need to get out of the way for that to happen. He wants to bless us, that I know for sure!
DeleteI'm grateful that you've started Monday evening off with a visit here. I so appreciate your gentle presence in my life.
This verse from Zephaniah has become one of my favorites because of the promise that God will take great delight in us and rejoice over us with singing! Perfect choice and perfect reminder of His deep love for us. Thanks my friend!
ReplyDeleteYes, let's keep hanging on to His promises, sink or swim! His faithfulness is our lifeline, our hope, our peace!
DeleteBlessings, friend, as we make our way through this week ...
