My blog.
My ministry.
My career.
My house. My music. My kids. My giftedness. My talents. My money. My plans. My stuff.
Me. Me. Me. Me.
Have we really gotten so self-obsessed that we're forgetting where each and every single blessing's come from?
Only by His gracious hand. His generous heart. His all-wise plan long before the world began.
It's not about us. It's all about Him. And it's His show. Not ours.
Listen with me, dear friend ...
And listen in on the after-supper chat Toby had with his 5 year old ...

As soon as I read the first 2 words, Toby Mac popped into my head and I just knew where you were heading with your blog. I love Toby Mac's songs.....the words are not typical, but they get the message across ( plus I love the beat!!)

Another timely reminder . . . and great song!
ReplyDelete" . . . None of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have -- right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start -- comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, 'If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.'" (The Message, I Cor. 1:26-31)
{Happened on these verses recently and thought of this post!}
For His generous heart,
GH
Absolutely literally, GH! Or a guitar, the drums, keyboard, whatever!
