The Lover of Your Soul Stays

Betrayed?  Abandoned?  Deserted?

Isolated?  Desolate?

You're not alone.

The Lover of your soul has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" {Joshua 1:5}.  He's not going anywhere.  And He's not going to "change like shifting shadows" {James 1:17}.

And as a bonus, "He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways: they will lift you up in their hands ..." {Psalm 91:11-12}.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will up hold you with My righteous right hand" {Isaiah 41:10}.

Praying with you, praying for you ~

  1. This song provides such great assurance, such incredible comfort. It'a awesome how the Lord provided the right song at the right time. Reminding me of His promise that I will never be alone because He will never leave me.

  2. He truly is our soul protector, guarding our innermost being in the middle of the worst life has to offer.

And He not only protects, but restores, as well.

May He continue to do that for you.

  3. i just came from a break-up and i'm really in limbo right now. i have a loving family and an amazing set of friends but for some reason, i just feel so alone. i've been praying and talking to God yet sometimes, i just feel that no matter what i do, i'm still stuck in this rut that i just can't get out of. i have my good days but i also have my bad days. i've been trying so hard to stay positive but sometimes, everything's just too much and my head keeps spinning and going on overdrive that i feel it's just going to explode!

anyway, i would just like to say thank you for this post. i've been having one of my moments again and i stumbled unto your blog and read this. it gives me hope. and it strengthened my faith that He is with me through it all...

  4. I love when God leads us to a resource or a person or an opportunity that brings a gleam of hope into our lives.

And I also love that Jesus truly "gets" our aloneness since He experienced being forsaken while here on earth.

If might be helpful for you to find a Christian counselor in your area to walk with you through this unsettling time. http://www.aacc.net/resources/find-a-counselor/

May you feel the Spirit's comforting presence as you continue to move ahead. Thanks for sharing your heart.

  6. Music can touch the deepest part of who we are ... especially when nothing and nobody else can. I love that God's created us that way!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  7. One post leads to another (I always appreciate the links!), and here I find yet another timely reminder that's music to my ears tonight. Thank you, Linda. I hadn't seen this video before.

It just so happens that earlier today, in the midst of my busyness, this was the *one* song that actually made me stop in my tracks and listen! A peace-filled moment then, now become a double blessing.

With more gratitude from this here heart...
