Let's Sing Glory With Her

'May our dependably steady and warmly personal God
develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other
as well as Jesus gets along with us all.

Then we'll be a choir - not our voices only,
but our very lives singing in harmony in a stunning anthem
to the God and Father of our Master Jesus!

So reach out and welcome one another to God's glory.
Jesus did it; now you do it!'
~ Romans 15 {The Message}

video

there  .  are  .  simply  .  no  .  words.

but still we keep on searching for those elusive phrases
that just might begin to give a glimpse of our heartfelt adoration.

accept the honor and praise we bring to You today,
Lord God Almighty.

with redeemed souls that overflow with deepest gratitude and joy,
we lift Your sacred name up high.

show us how to encourage each other to seek
Your glory, Your fame, Your majesty.

and we'll be oh so ever grateful, in Jesus' name.

for You are supremely worthy of our worship
as we gather 'round the holy throne.

amen.

  2. Can't spin up the video at the moment, I'll try later.

Please keep me in your prayers, Linda. Health went down hard, and I am in serious trouble.

    1. Bless Your child, Andrew, Lord, with a strong sense of Your presence. Gather his aching body in Your arms and let Your healing rain pour down on his soul. Calm his fears as You assure him of Your love and care I pray, in Jesus name.

    1. As I was trying to discern what and when to write in this next season, I knew quickly that sabbath words continue to be a non-negotiable for me. Thanks for hearing my heart and for worshiping with me even from afar.

His love unites His children close, doesn't it.

Blessings as we head off into the unknown week ahead, friend ...

    1. Wow, Gingi. I know of no richer comment than yours ... that this online space honors God. That's what we do, that's where we're going. I praise Him that you're finding His presence here.

Three ways to find blogs that honor God -

      1. Check out the people that left comments in last week's Creekside Monday night post. Click on their links to go to their spaces. We've got a super community here and many of them showed up and spoke out.

      2. Check out http://www.incourage.me/channel/blog. Wonderful women blogging about faith and life.

      3. Check out From Hither to Yon : : Shareworthy Reads on the sidebar over to the right -->
It's the best of what I've come across in recent days. It changes at a moment's notice, so I encourage you to go there whenever you stop by here.

Gingi ... I love your desire to go deeper in your faith. I pray that God will lead you to the sites of those who'll help guide you there.

      Blessings, friend ...

  7. Beautiful words and video, Linda! I love the simplicity of the video, just her worshipping with that amazing voice. No distractions, not even shoes ;). That's how He wants us, "but still we keep on searching for those elusive phrases..." I completely agree, my friend.

    1. I hear you, Candace. I was struck first of all by the simple starkness of the black and white. And then ... that voice? Powerful, pure, beautiful. Every time I play it, I worship all over again.

And I guess that's what He most desires, isn't it ...

  8. I checked this out the day you posted this and then lost track of time and didn't tell you how much I appreciate your call to worship. The song is perfect and the verses from Romans 15 really struck a "chord". (See what I did there!) The image of joining together as a choir not only in our voices but singing harmony in our lives is so beautiful. I love everything to do with singing and worship so this post spoke loudly to me of how to live our lives for God. Thank you friend and thank you for providing such a beautiful space to breathe and be still. Love you!

    1. That you came back again to chat? That means so much to me. Thanks, Mary, for worshiping with me once again.

Someday? It'll be face to face before Him!!!

And yes, to creating space to breathe and be still and focus on Christ. This has become so vital to me in recent years that I just have to feature that call here each sabbath.

What a privilege to fall on our knees and cry 'holy!'
