Kicking Off the Celebration!

Pray diligently.

Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude ...

Make the most of every opportunity.

Be gracious in your speech.

The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation,
not put them down, not cut them out.
- Colossians 4 {The Message}

May God visit us in a new and fresh way as we
jump into our 8th year of doing life together.

May each and every conversation that hits this screen
be seasoned with a warm, loving graciousness.

May prayer be our watchword.

And gratitude, our joy.

May this sacred space be known as a welcoming refuge,
a calm oasis, a well of encouragement.

As words and laughter, tears and wisdom, musings and prayers
mingle and flow, ever and always, may Jesus Christ be praised.

  6. Congratulations on making 8 years of a start-of-the-art, topnotch blog. God has given many a safe and peaceful play to "visit" and your blog reminds me of your home----comfortable, hospitable, and peaceful. I especially love all the family moments you share. They bring special tears to my eyes at times and makes me so thankful for your example of a functioning Christian family!!!!

    Congrats, Buddy.

    1. Your words are so kind and encouraging, Buds. Thanks for sensing that this is my 'other' home. That you've captured where I'm trying to go with this online space is music to my heart.

      May Jesus Christ be praised!

And functioning? Yep, we are. Quite far from perfect and surely with many challenges all over the place. But trusting in the Savior? That's our only hope.

Appreciate that you're sharing this part of my life, too ...

  8. Eight years - that's awesome. Here's to many more. I'm often so amazed at how the teacher (or the blogger, in this case) is the one that is blessed the most. So you've had a lot of blessings!

    1. It's connecting with people like you, Loren, that are the icing on the cake. Without the conversation, it would be a whole different scenario.

      Appreciate your presence here!

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
