Wings

'On my bed I remember You;

I think of You through the watches of the night.

Because You are my help,

I sing in the shadow of Your wings.

I cling to You;

Your right hand upholds me.'
~ Psalm 63:6-8 ~

How grateful we are to have the sheltering protection of Your mighty presence, Holy Father.  When the hours ahead stretch long and unknown, there is the sweetest relief in resting in the safety of Your companionship and the security of Your faithful promises.  We are confident that our lives remain in Your strong and competent hands, most especially when darkening shadows dim the pathway ahead.  And for this fragrant bouquet of blessed assurances, we give thanks.

  8. Hi Linda! I love this passage. It's so descriptive...who hasn't rolled over wide awake and lifted up praise and thanksgiving? Such a beautiful sight to the Lord. May he dip down and spread his wings over us tonight, and guide us safely to tomorrow...

    1. Yep, we get to choose how to respond when we roll over wide awake @ o'dark thirty! To always choose to praise? How that would make Him smile!

  10. I really need to read through the Psalms. Love the verse you shared. Such comfort and peace. What has really helped me these months without my husband is to know the same God holding me is the same One who holds my husband. This has really brough clarity to me on how amazing He is and because of who He I can rest securely in His promises. Gives me goosebumps. Blessings to you for a beautiful week. xoxo
