Fortress

 video

'I love You, O Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;

my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.

He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.'
Psalm 18:1-3

  1. psalm 18 - my psalm - i lived in it for months after my brother died. It was the one i latched onto when finally 10 months after he died I decided to revisit the words my sister in law said to me that morning "He's gone." I had not talked of them, uttered them and hardly let myself think of them until I was in counseling. I guess i figured it was safe since I was seeing he once a week...the longest i would be without "help" would only be till the next week's appointment and i could make it that long. Love this Psalm. thanks for the reminder.

    1. Carol ... thank you for sharing how the Lord used this passage to minister to you in your grief back then ... and now in this season of yet another deep loss. May He continue to carry you through.

      Hugs.

  2. Thank you, Linda. I needed something today that solely pointed to Him. Holiday's can make my heart ache . . . but He is my strength and my rock. I take refuge in Him. Blessings to you on this day and for the week ahead. Much love. xoxo

    1. I hear you, friend. Holidays can be a real beast for a whole host of reasons.

      That being said, may you find sparkles of heart-joy in unexpected corners today!

    1. Praising Him always seems to do that, doesn't it ... even if tears mingle with words. I hope you're doing well and look forward to connecting with you this week!

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
