A Blogger's Prayer

Let the words of my mouth,

and the meditation of my heart,

be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord,

my strength, and my redeemer.
- Psalm 19:24

This is the petition I breathe, the Psalmist's heart-cry that courses through my veins whenever these fingers hit the keyboard in this online space.  Always, always, I want to write for an audience of One.  My life goal and deepest desire is to please Him.  And I am truly grateful to have this ongoing opportunity to share the gleanings that emerge from that sacred relationship with you.

Thanks for spending just a few Sabbath moments with me.  May silence and solitude create a spacious place for His peace to fill your heart to overflowing ...

Please join me at Deidra's for her final Sunday Community link-up.
Farewell, my sabbath friend.

    1. Hi Sonya ~ I stopped in last night to say 'hi,' but when I clicked the box to leave a comment, the box disappeared and there was no place to write anything.

      Sigh. The wonders of technology.

Please know that I was thinking of you ...

  5. Hi Linda, I discovered you through KalleyC and happy to make the connection. I was blessed by this prayer. It is my desire to let God have His way in me and through me that touching one soul that heaven will rejoice over that one. God bless you!

  6. Hi Linda! Thank you for a little moment of peace. Every time I read those words of Scripture, I think of Linda Ronstadt. She sung it so well.
Keep on writing your heart my friend. We need to hear it!
    Blessings,

    1. I can't track her singing this, my friend! Would love for you to send a link ... couldn't find her on You Tube.

Hope this weekend was good for you and little babycakes!

    2. I'm going to try and paste the link. Hope it works! It's not the greatest audio, but you get an idea. I am a HUGE Ronstadt fan. I had this album. (along with a few others!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEPr_ZF9HLs

You'll have to copy this address and paste in your browser headline. Let me know what you think!
My daughters family just left today. So much fun! The two year old is tolerating her Nana pretty well. The four month old only has eyes for her Mommy. My daughter has a lot of energy :)

  7. Perfect prayer for writers and speakers. We should get quiet with him before pressing publish. Hope your Mother's Day was great!

    1. Writers and speakers and each soul whose feet hit the ground each morning. And the need, that call to get quiet with Him before we even open our mouths to those we love.

Thanks, Lisha, for coming by. I look forward to connecting with you next Saturday!

  9. Reading this post gave me a moment to take a deep breath and quiet my soul. I will have to write down the prayer and put it somewhere I can see every day. Thank you for offering us such a quiet and sacred place to breathe, understand, and connect.

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
