Springing Up

'Rise up, my darling!
Come away with me, my fair one!

Look, the winter is past,
and the rains are over and gone.

The flowers are springing up,
the season of singing birds has come,
and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air.

The fig trees are forming young fruit,
and the fragrant grapevines are blossoming.

Rise up, my darling!
Come away with me, my fair one!'
  ~  Song of Solomon 2: 10-13  ~

    1. And some of us are still longing for some fully bloomed blooms! I'm appreciating little bursts of color from crocuses here and there ...

Thanks, Trinity, for coming in to visit tonight! Sabbath blessings, dear friend!

  2. Just read your blog. You must be hallucinating! I look out & still see snow & brown grass. But I still have hope. : 0)

    1. If you look REAL closely, you might see a few crocuses here and there. But it won't be long! Promise!

    1. Could it be that the Wise Man knew we'd needed these oh-so-lovely words, this sweetest of invitations at the dawn of this new season?

  4. today visiting from The Sunday Community, read your entry and followed the link to a suggested older post....landed on Oct. 7th and commented there. That is just what I needed to hear. doing some work in a therapy group and in the "messy middle'. God using our woundedness - such a good message. And i also loved the photo on the scripture today. blessings.
