Her Golden Nose Ring

The Lord detests people with crooked hearts,

but he delights in those with integrity ...

A beautiful woman who lacks discretion

is like a gold ring in a pig's snout ...

The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life;

a wise person wins friends.
 ~ Proverbs 11:20, 22, 30 ~

  1. Oink. Oink. (We collect little piggy figurines at our house -- esp. ones with wings that fly, so this post has a special place in my heart.)

      Hope you're having a cozy weekend, Lyli. It's brutal cold here in NY's Mid-Hudson Valley ... and the snow absolutely refuses to stop drifting down! I'm thankful to be huddled under my very toasty blanket!

  4. I often think of this verse in talking of modesty...both in dress and actions...with women. Imagine a shiny gold ring rooting around in the dirt! It creates such a picture, doesn't it?

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
