People 101 : : Day 2 : : Disappointed Wives


She'd be the first one to tell you that her marriage was a mess.  And my, how things have changed over time.  Because my counseling buddy Beth is off celebrating, and I mean CELEBRATING, her 25th wedding anniversary with her man. 

Yes, miracles do happen.

And while she's gone, Beth has asked me to write a guest post for her messy marriage blog.  She's left some pretty big shoes for me to fill, and to say I'm honored is just a bit of an understatement!  So grab my hand and come along with me.  But be prepared, my friend, because along the way I'm going to be asking you to consider a question that you might not be too willing to answer.

Here goes ...

This one's for all the wives out there who are married to men who are just plain disappointing.  We're not talking abusive here.  It's just that these guys are, well, never enough.  Or they're just way too much.  The relationship isn't looking like the romantic rendezvous we imagined it would be.  We're not resonating with each other.  There's some kind of disconnect going on and our needs aren't getting met.  A slow fade has descended.  And a creeping celibacy has ... {finish reading}
