For This Week, Please . . .

And in this, a 23 minute gift of stirring beauty and gentle yet strong voice, in this sharing of life and pain and grace and gratitude, I find strength for soul and body this Sabbath morn.  Would you, dear client, close friend, sweet family member, dedicated reader choose to carve out time in the very near future to invest in the powerfully gentle words of our friend, Ann Voskamp?

For she, too, has lived searing pain and deep heartache.  And by some amazing grace from above, has chosen a most excellent way to make her way through to the other side.  To the healing place.  To strength and a vast faith that comforts yet challenges and spurs on.

Settle deeply into your favorite resting spot.  Turn off your phone and remove anything that would distract.  And let her take you there, to Him.

  5. I began to read Ann's book back about a year ago, Linda. But because I'm a "greedy" reader, I always pick up many other books to read--trying to make progress in each one. This plan works for some books but not for others. Ann's book was one that got overlooked. And her story is so moving and her challenge is so true and pure, I must get back to it! And thanks, most of all, for reminding me with Ann's help to rejoice no matter what in all of God's gifts.

  9. This testimony is indeed a living example of how we, by grace, can make it to the other side. Albeit detours, delays and or stumbling blocks, we CAN make it! Have a prosperous week.

    1. Sometimes we need to hear another traveler's tale so we know we're not alone in our pain and suffering. And redemption is available for the asking. Thanks, Trinity for that reminder ...

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
