Vintage Organizing Tools

All our favorite clutter-busting organizing blogs are filled with every size, color, and shape of boxes, bins, and containers crafted from all manner of plastic, wire, cloth, and fiber.  And that's all good.  But my absolute favorite organizing tools are those finely crafted pieces that long ago made their debut as official office furniture.  If you love vintage stuff, organizing doesn't get any more fun than this!

Here's the after and before shots of three pieces I've gathered along the way ... and no, I didn't pay an arm and a leg for these beauties.  They are definitely worth the search as you troll through flea markets, antique shops, and tag sales.

And before you leave, don't miss this fabulous pictorial tour of vintage office furniture.   {LOVE!}

  1. I have always loved the old furniture and filing drawers in your house! Never realized you labeled the drawers also!

    1. Probably 'cause we're too busy yapping and running after kids and whipping up a storm in the kitchen when you ARE here!

  2. WOW, Linda, what great ideas for organizing. I love them. Today I was cleaning out one of my files--not the whole drawer although I would like to have done that. Just one file to prepare for subbing this fall. It sure felt good to pitch stuff.
    I like the dark thick penned tabs on your folders.
    This was great.
    Thanks, Linda.
    Blessings,

  3. What amazing finds! I've been on the hunt for an old library card catalogue for the last few years to use for organizing jewellery. Nice to stumble onto your blog today!

    I'm grateful you're here. And I hope this coming week is filled with delights for you, for yours ...

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'
