Clarifying That Serenity Prayer

The things I can not change?
Other people's emotions, responses, choices, responsibilities, pathways.
Because their lives are theirs to own.
The things I can change?
How I respond to my own emotions, responses, choices, responsibilities, pathways.
All this is mine to own.
Knowing the difference?
Falling deeply in love with the Giver of Wisdom.  Savoring His Word ... often.
Sitting quietly and waiting for that still, small voice Who whispers, 'this is the way, walk ye in it.'
Figuring Our Your Responsibilities is here.
Adios to Rescuing, Fixing, Saving is there.

  1. Your post may be short, but it packs an incredible punch, Linda! Too many people don't realize this, and if they do, they forget it when the heat is on. I'm part of that forgetful group. ;) Thanks for this great reminder!

  2. Oh yes ... even us counselors need gentle reminders, don't we!

Always a treat to see your name appear, Beth! And thank you for that book!

  3. OH i love this post - wish that was a printable!

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
