Ian & Larissa's Story

Sometimes we need to pause and pull away from our own endless self-absorption.  Settle down and be quiet.  And capture a glimpse of someone else's world.  So we can fully appreciate, once again, all we possess.  Reconsider what we yearn for.  And discover what authentic commitment and true love really requires.

Ian and Larissa take us there.

'Love never gives up.  Love cares more for others than self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have ...
Isn't always 'me first' ... Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth ...
Trusts God always, always looks for the best,
never looks back, but keeps going to the end.
Love never dies.'
- 1 Corinthians 13 {The Message}.

Thanks to the former client who shared this powerfully compelling story.  Truth be told, most of us needed to view it more than we'd care to admit.

And our gratitude to you, Ian and Larissa, for sharing your strong, sweet romance with us.

  1. I saw this on John Piper's site. What a wonderful video, and a great story. I appreciated that she recognized that her need for communication needed to be met, but then moved forward when it was clear that could be done. What a sacrificial picture of marriage.

  2. I love the loving support they have around them ... they are not navigating this alone. A key for us all?

Thanks, Jonathan ... I always appreciate your insight!

  3. Lots of wisdom in this story - what really struck me is the message the love endures all - but love is not always fun nor is it always easy - but it is always kind and big.

  4. For sure, so many messages are interwoven into their story ... something for each of us to savor.

Thanks for stopping by, Blue Cotton Lady!

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
