It's Time for a "Sexual Detox"

You'd have to be living in a cave not to know that our culture is awash in sex.  We are bombarded at every turn - and sometimes when we least expect it.  Temptation can seem endless, and purity an impossibility.  As blogger and book reviewer Tim Challies writes, "perhaps you are finding that, more than ever, sex is filling your mind and impacting your heart."

Challies has written a SEXUAL DETOX GUIDE for men.  Honest.  Upfront.  Christ-centered.  Two versions are available - one for single guys, one for those who're married.  The guides come complete with questions for you to wrestle with ... on your own or with a trustworthy, mature, godly male accountability partner.

And you can download them free.

And women - I'd encourage you to check out these resources, too.  Be wise as to what the men in your life are facing.

Be sure of 2 things:

1.  The scourge of pornography and the heartbreak of sexual addiction have only begun to impact the church.

2.  The pursuit of sexual integrity is not a male/female, single/married, young/old issue.

"Stay alert.  The devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping.  Keep your guard up.  You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times.  It's the same with Christians all over the world.  So keep a firm grip on the faith"
- 1 Peter 5:8-9 {The Message}.

Let's wake up.

And "choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him" {Deuteronomy 30:19-20}.
