"Hostages to Bric-a-Brac"

Be honest. Most all of us deal with it in some way, shape, or form. Drawers so jammed with stuff that we struggle with all our might to get them open. Closets that threaten to spew out their jumbled contents if we'd only be brave enough to open the doors. A basement that long ago evolved into a fire hazard. Perhaps a garage that hasn't seen its original purpose of housing a vehicle since the 1980s.

As one man observed with great frustration as he valiantly labored with his parents to go through a lifetime of accumulation, "I looked back at the house, so dense with belongings it all but vibrated with anxiety. And I wondered how life had deposited my family at this point, hostages to bric-a-brac that had once served us."

Time to jump into action?

Trust me - you'll feel liberated, energized, and much-less burdened as you begin to shed all those accumulations. And gain an opportunity to turn your attention onto things that are of real value.

After all, you can't take it with you ...

"Don't hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or - worse! - stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being"
- Matthew 6:19-21 (The Message).
