Your Monthly Seasonal Cleaning Guide

I don't know anyone who does a huge spring/fall cleaning like Grandma used to. Who's got the time ... or energy? And yet, as good stewards of all God has blessed us with, we should be caring for our possessions - and like everything else we do for Him, it should be done with excellence. "Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" - Colossians 3:17.

That being said, get ready ... each month, we're going to tackle one task, so that by the time the year has ended, your home will have been thoroughly cared for. So enlist a spouse, child, or friend, roll up your sleeves, crank up the music and let's begin ... it won't take long, I promise!

- JANUARY -
MASTER BEDROOM

Clean curtains, closets, drawers, dressers and bed linens; wipe down walls, baseboards, floors.

That's it for January. Go for it!

  1. I like your idea of focusing on one room per month to give it a thorough cleaning. Flylady has you focus on one room per week but that gets a little overwhelming for me.

You've got me thinking now and your Scripture is excellent!

  2. If it's overwhelming, it isn't going to happen ... at least not for me! And not for most of us on a consistent basis.

I like the idea of setting the kitchen timer for 15 minutes each day and really focusing on a task or a room. It's amazing what you can do in a short amount of time when you shut out all interruptions.

    Thanks, Elisabeth, for your thoughts.

Welcome to the table, friend!

This is where we gather and hang out. I'd love for you to pull up a chair and jump right into the conversation. Or simply say 'hello.'

l'll be dropping in to visit you sometime soon ...
